Action Plan
A vision for restoring neglected spaces
Project Proposal
Tended Earth can develop a Project Proposal outlining how a neglected or under-used space can be transformed into a biodiverse, beautiful and resilient wild garden. This service is ideal for schools, workplaces, or community groups who need a clear plan before committing to a project - especially when seeking internal approval or applying for funding.
What’s involved?
We meet on-site to walk through the neglected space(s) that you would like to revitalise. Together, we discuss:
the scope of work
the intended budget
how the space is currently used, and how you would like it be used in the future
site-specific considerations (sun exposure, soil health, existing plants and landscaping elements)
Based on this visit, Tended Earth prepares a comprehensive written proposal that includes:
Practical advice on how to revitalise the existing space
Recommended soil amendments to boost soil health and long-term plant resilience
A biodiverse, multi-layered planting schedule blending ecological function and natural beauty
Plant quantities and placement guidance
Recommended quantities of materials (compost, mulch, logs, rocks, etc)
Integration of existing plants and landscaping elements, wherever possible
A staged plan (what to do first, next, and later)
Optional: an estimated budget for implementation with Tended Earth
Cost
$650-$2200, depending on the scope of project and site conditions
Outcome
A clear actionable plan showing how the neglected space can be transformed - ideal for sharing with leadership teams, decision-makers, or including in grant applications.
Facilitation of Community or School Planting Sessions
Planting Together
Co-creating wild gardens
Tended Earth facilitates joyful, collaborative planting days where students, staff, volunteers, or workplace teams come together to co-create a biodiverse, beautiful wild garden. These sessions build community connection, deepen understanding of nature, and transform neglected spaces into living pockets of resilience and beauty. This service is well-suited for schools, neighbourhood houses, social enterprises, and workplaces seeking a hands-on planting experience that brings people together with a shared purpose.
What’s involved?
Before the planting day, we work with you to confirm:
the planting area and project goals
the intended group size (students, staff, volunteers, corporate teams)
safety considerations
any site-specific requirements
plant availability (can be coordinated by Tended Earth or supplied by you)
On the day, Tended Earth provides calm, supportive leadership and step-by-step guidance to ensure a smooth and engaging experience. This includes:
Placement of plants to create a multi-layered, biodiverse garden
Short educational elements (soil, habitat, biodiversity, plant function)
Clear roles and instructions for participants
Hands-on facilitation tailored to the age and abilities of the group
Encouragement, connection, and a joyful co-creation process
Cost
Planning & Facilitation of Planting Session (2-3hr for 10-20 people): $600-$900 ($30-90 pp) depending on location and complexity of planting.
Outcome
A co-created wild garden that the group feels proud of and connected to — a space that supports biodiversity, nurtures well-being, and fosters ongoing shared care for the land. Perfect for creating a sense of ownership and community pride while making a meaningful and positive ecological impact.
